First of all, I need to address your concerns regarding Death and Emptiness in Qi Men Destiny. The DE sign will always appear anywhere inside your 8 palaces and it just symbolize unfulfilled or low in priority in that respective palaces unlikely compared to Bazi.
Death and Emptiness / The Void/ The Oblivious
In Chinese Metaphysics, the Death and Emptiness is pronounced as “Kong Wang 空亡” literally translated as Emptiness and Death is one of the most intriguing subject. Most people thought this is when they will be dead or missing, but that is not the case ya. This is just basically the unfulfilled earthly branches based in 60 Jia Zi Chart. Basically the Death and Emptiness is the oblivion part of your life that you need to be aware with.
Death and Emptiness in Qi Men
In Qi Men Dun Jia, the Death and Emptiness basically mean the palace with the DE sign (as shown in below diagram). This indicates that particular palace is on a break, thus the element and aspect inside that palace is not exerting its full influence.
If you have the DE sign in any particular palace, basically element and aspect inside that palace are weak, lack of priorities, element inside this palace somehow didn’t exert much energy or their influence.
Do take note that the Spirit Realm (the guardian spirit) are not affected by the Death and Emptiness (DE) as their influence is in the universe realm, the DE only affecting the earth realm.
Death and Emptiness in Your Qi Men Destiny Palace
If you have the DE sign inside your own Qi Men Destiny Palace as shown as above figure, this may mean you aren’t find much fulfillment in life despite you have good relationship (Six Harmony) which eventually lead you to pursue the path of spiritual enlightenment in hope to find what truly make you fulfilled in life.
If you have DE in other palaces such as your wealth, your career, asset, and etc. Well generally you may not find much fulfillment in those aspect which lead you to keep hunting, hustling in hope to discover how you can seek for fulfillment.
I’m not saying having the DE in your wealth palace doesn’t mean you don’t have money nor can’t make a lot of money, it just that you may not be prioritize the money as the benchmark of fulfillment.
Spiritual Pursuit
Having the Death & Emptiness (DE) in your chart as a matter of fact could boost your connection with your Guardian of Destiny, the 7 Star Path and etc. Despite you may feel “empty” or “lack of concern” with the elements inside the palace, you will ended up seeking for your own path in your journey to find higher fulfillment beyond the earth realm matter.
Can Death and Emptiness be solved?
Yes, there are several method to solve the Death and Emptiness but that is subject to the structure of your chart. Sometime the DE is positive and sometime it can be negative, this is highly dependent on the chart owner’s storyline.
But generally being aware of what went into the void would already give us a big insight towards what truly drive our passion and being mindful about it.
